What is The Cocktail Class?
The Cocktail Class is a private experience just for you and your group! You will watch a demonstration of how to make four cocktails and then enjoy each of those cocktails with time in-between each drink to relax and mingle. Part class and part party, The Cocktail Class is a unique experience!
Where is The Cocktail Class held?
The Cocktail Class takes place on the private property of Brian and Jessie Passon in Windsor, CT. Most of the class is held in The White Barn and weather depending, outdoor areas are used as well.
Is every class a private party or do you have open events where individual people can sign up?
Currently every Cocktail Class is a private event booked just for your group. At this time we do not offer open parties for individuals to attend.
Who is The Cocktail Class for?
The Cocktail Class is for anyone 21 years of age and older! A birthday celebration, ladies night, office party, family gathering or team building (and more) are all great reasons to gather. Are you looking for a unique couples outing? How about an intimate birthday gathering where all you have to do is show up? Friends from out of town visiting? The options are endless, let’s gather together!
What is the cost for The Cocktail Class?
A flat event fee of $920 includes up to 8 individuals and everything you need for an amazing experience.
What if we don’t have 8 people?
The flat event fee is $920 for up to 8 people. Therefore, you may have less if you wish and you will be billed the flat fee of $920.
Can we have more than 8 people?
Yes of course! The more the merrier! Currently in the barn we can accommodate up to 10 people in winter and up to 16 spring through fall.
What is the cost for more than 8 people?
For each person over 8 individuals it is $115 per person.
What is the maximum number of people that can attend?
If you are looking to have more than 16 people, contact us! We can accommodate larger groups with our outdoor space just outside of the barn. For larger parties, please inquire.
What happens if someone in our group can not attend?
For parties with 8 or less guests, we encourage you to find another individual to fill the open spot.
For parties with 9-15 guests, a week before the event we ask for the total attending and at that point your balance due will reflect that number. If any of your guests need to cancel inside of 7 days before the event we encourage you to find another person to fill their spot as your private party will be locked in at that point and your invoice will reflect the previously confirmed number.
Of course in the event of an emergency situation we will work with you the best that we can!
What is included?
A private barn setting and grounds just for your group, three full cocktails, one mini cocktail and light snacks are included. Not to mention a gorgeous setting, flowers, candles, real glassware and more. There are options to add on a grazing board, dessert board, gourmet smores and firepit.
How long is the class?
The Cocktail Class lasts approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours long. If you add on the firepit or gourmet smores, your event will be 45 minutes longer.
What time of day does The Cocktail Class take place?
Based on your desired dates we will offer you options for a start time. The Cocktail Class usually starts between 12pm and 6:30pm. We will do our best to accommodate your group on the start time!
What cocktails will be served?
Each season we put together a new list of cocktails. After you book your class you will be presented with 6 options to choose 3 cocktails from. The options usually include one or two “classic” cocktails and then some seasonally inspired cocktails. Some recipes are typical or “well known” and others are created by us and our mixologists.
Is outside food allowed?
At this time outside food or drink is not permitted. We do have options to add food and dessert to your experience! When booking your class we will provide you with a menu of the add on options.
When is The Cocktail Class offered?
While we have a limited number of dates through the year, we do not have set dates that The Cocktail Class is held. We work with each group to best accommodate their desired date based on our availability and schedule.
What days of the week do you book The Cocktail Class?
We will do our best to work with each group for a day of the week and time that works best for everyone! This is truly a private party just for your group!
How far ahead can The Cocktail Class be booked?
Currently we are able to book classes up to two months ahead of time. If you are looking to book a class for a large group (over 16 people) we are able to book your class further out.

What is the process for booking The Cocktail Class?
Once you inquire and we set a date, you will receive an invoice to pay a deposit to secure your date.
What about bad weather?
We will keep our eye on the weather and if the forecast is calling for significant weather (snowstorm, constant downpour, extreme heat or thunderstorms, etc.) that will negatively impact your ability to travel or the overall experience we will contact you to reschedule.
What if we need to cancel our class? Will we receive a refund?
Due to the custom nature of this private event, refunds are not provided. In the event of a necessary cancellation due to illness or extreme weather, your deposit will be moved to a new agreed upon date and your class will be rescheduled.
How do we pay for The Cocktail Class?
Your deposit (equal to 1/3 of the total) is required to secure the date. The balance is then due the day of the event. You will be sent an invoice for each of those via email. We accept credit card, check or cash.
