Brian and Jessie Passon of Project 519 are thrilled to announce a fabulous dance party and silent auction and you are invited! All proceeds from this event will go towards a safe house for human trafficking victims in the greater Hartford area. The Bee’s Knees Bash was amazing, thank you to everyone! We raised $6,500 for the safe house in the Greater Hartford area!

Trafficking in the greater hartford area?

You may find yourself amazed at the fact that trafficking happens right here in Connecticut. All proceeds from the Bee’s Knees Bash will go directly to creating a safe house in the greater Hartford area for victims of trafficking! Via a connection at their church, Brian and Jessie, along with some other friends, took on the project of rehabbing a room at the safe house. Their goal is to raise $10,000 to put towards rehabbing that house! Most people don’t even know that trafficking is taking place right in our own backyard! More than 1 million people in the U.S. are trafficked and 83% of them are U.S. citizens. Considering that it is very difficult to identify victims, that 1 million marker is an estimate and likely represents only a fraction of the total number of victims. Brian and Jessie are using their skills and talents to throw an amazing party in hopes of creating a safe place for victims and bringing more awareness of this issue to the general public! Help them and their group exceed their goal of raising $10,000!

Brian and Jessie are very excited to announce that local artist Jess Franks will be doing a live painting at the Bee’s Knees Bash! Right before your eyes she will create magic on the canvas. Her use of color and texture is like no other—her paintings literally come to life! Not only will you be able to watch her at her craft, but as she paints you will have the opportunity to bid right on that painting!
